Pre-listening Notes: Here is another band that the classification they get of psychedelic rock has grabbed my interest here. Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher have both apparently sang their praises and they have played with Suede. So, I'll give it a whirl.
Initial Reaction: Okay, so far exactly what I was thinking it was going to sound like. It has a very 90's era Brit-pop feel to it. The vocals are good, have a bit of a dreamy feel to it.
Random Thoughts: While they have a 90's sound to them, they are also very much based in some 60's and 70's sounding things here. There is a definite classic sound to this. The only downside to the NPR stream is I can't tell which song this is, but if I had to guess it's the third track. I like this song, a lot. So far, this is pretty solid. I don't have a ton of things to say individually about each song, but I can tell you that I have enjoyed all of them.
Final Reaction: I enjoyed this, it was a good Brit-pop record that should be interesting to anyone who likes British music from pretty much any time in the last 40 to 50 years, since it has elements of each time period.
Final Grade: 7.0/10
