Pre-listening Notes: I don't really have anything to say in here. It's Bruce Sprinsteen, he pretty much speaks for himself.
Initial Reaction: First song is pretty upbeat and a pretty decent rock song.
Random Thoughts: Second song is pretty okay too. So far, I think I'll be able to get behind this. Okay, the third song is 41 shots. This is an older song that I'm already familiar with. It doesn't seem to be much different, if at all. The next song is a cover, Just Like Fire Would by The Saints, and so far it's the best song of the first four. Seems like a pretty solid mix of more upbeat songs with an occasional ballad mixed in. This is Your Sword had almost an Irish feel to it. So far, I am enjoying most of this album. Okay, another one I have heard before, The Ghost of Tom Joad. The album closes out a little slow, but the songs are pretty okay.
Final Reaction: Overall I think this was a pretty good record. I'm not the biggest Springsteen fan, so it kind of almost made me a little surprised that I liked it as much as I did. I get why people love him so much, I just never really had that much for him myself. I think any true fan will probably love this album, though.
