Pre-listening Notes: Short lived mid 80's DC punk band with Dave Grohl on drums. That's pretty much all I can find out about this. It's only 8 songs, so we will see.
Initial Reaction: Recording isn't great. Kind of melodic. The vocals are quiet, the drums are loud. There are some weird noises going on around the song. They appear to be part of the song.
Random Thoughts: Well, the vocals aren't getting any louder. The tempo isn't speeding up much either. Okay, the ending of the second song had a weird change of piece to a faster tempo. This song has a cooler faster tempo part, but the recording is still kind of hard to get around. I see there is a Grand Funk cover coming up. Space Cat totally sounds like a high school punk band song. Bend does nothing for me, really.
Final Reaction: It's early Dave Grohl, so it's cool to see where he started, even before joining Scream. Okay, honestly, it's obvious this is a very young group and it's not the best, but yeah, I suppose there was a demand for this. It's nothing I'll probably ever listen to again, but I am okay with having heard it once.
Final Grade: 4.5/10
